Alex "AK" Kresovich (born in Harlingen, Texas on August 28, 1986), is a Billboard #1 and RIAA-Platinum certified music producer, songwriter, and composer from Ithaca, New York. AK was best known early in his career for his 'Gold N' Fly: 007' (2010) mashup mixtape using the music from the Goldneye 64 video game. He made his mainstream debut in 2011 by winning the 2K Sports/Duck Down Records Producer Contest resulting in his production of the main theme for the NBA 2K12 video game ("The Return"/"Now's My Time" by D.J.I.G.)

Since then, AK has collaborated with Panic! at the Disco, Cee Lo Green, X Ambassadors, G.O.O.D. Music, Kid Ink, Niykee Heaton, Jared Leto (30 Seconds to Mars), King Los, Sonny Digital, Emily Warren (Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers), and Vincent Berry II (Beyonce, Kanye West, Justin Bieber). He is currently managed by Adam Zia.

AK never stops studying music. A passion since he was just 6 years old; growing up AK's parents noticed how he would listen to music for hours by himself on their stereo in lieu of other activities. In his pre-teen years in Peachtree City, Georgia, AK aspired to be a singer and participated in numerous selective choirs and was trained classically on piano for six years. Dreams shifted in his earliest teen years as he hoped to become a rock star and was trained on the drum set for two years. However, once his family moved to New York, all of his friends listened to rap rather than rock. Just as his surroundings had changed, so did AK. He became obsessed with rap; throughout high school he wrote his own raps and even released an album entitled 'I Wouldn’t Buy Thi$' his senior year at Ithaca High School in 2004.

This infatuation continued into college, but on the other side of the mixing boards. AK began producing rap songs (making beats) during his freshman - and only - year at the University of Georgia. With all the time he spent listening and studying music, he had the natural 'ear' for it; the school year culminated with his release of 'The Dual Threat Mixtape' in the spring of 2005. Though AK had yet to shake an amateur sound in his work, he certainly had taken a step in the right direction.

After transferring to Cornell University, AK had the opportunity to intern with the Island Def Jam Music Group. His time with the label proved inspirational. While with Island Def Jam, AK was able to go to the recording studio with rap legend Jay-Z and also had the unforgettable experience of dancing with pop superstar Rihanna at label executive LA Reid’s 50th birthday party. His time there culminated with two auditions with A&R magnate Lenny S.; Lenny remarked that he was impressed by his potential and told him to keep him updated on his development.

After spending those two summers with the Island Def Jam Music Group, AK completed his first full-length project entitled 'The Crowned Prince' which was released on October 19, 2007, the fall of his senior year at Cornell University. The first single, "Hey Hollywood" received national radio play and was put on the in-store music CDs for American Eagle and Hollister clothing stores. AK took all the proceeds from the album ($1000+) and donated them to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

In 2010, AK was named one of the 'Top 40 Up-and-Coming Producers in the United States' by iStandard Producers and participated in the organization's 'Beast of the Beats IV' showcase at New York City's Webster Hall. That year AK also released 'Alex Kresovich in... Gold N' Fly: 007' a mashup mixtape utilizing the music of the Nintendo 64 video game 'Goldeneye' and rap acapellas to create new songs. The mixtape was featured on Kotaku and GamePro and ended up receiving over 20,000 official downloads and over 250,000 combined YouTube views.

In 2011, AK entered the 2K Sports/Duck Down Records Producer Contest for a guaranteed placement on the NBA 2K12 video game. AK's entry was selected for the Top 10 (out of 1,100+ entries) and won via the popular vote. AK's instrumental, "The Return", was selected as the game's main theme and made its national television debut on ABC during Game One of the 2011 NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat.

In 2015, AK took the plunge and moved across the country to Los Angeles, California where he currently resides.

AK maintains that the keys to improving his musical talents are his good study habits and work ethic, which he cultivated at Cornell University and maintained in graduate school at the University of Georgia. No matter the quality of his music, he’s never satisfied — not while there’s so much to learn out there from other musicians. Whether he’s studying his greatest musical inspirations (Kanye West, Just Blaze, Pharrell Williams, Dr. Dre, Mark Ronson, No I.D., Boi-1da, 40, Pop & Oak), his up-and-coming peers, or different genres of music entirely, AK is always looking for new inspiration that will help him enhance his musical capabilities. The learning process is never over and hard work always pays off.
